Marmonix MT-40 Single-Use USB Temperature Data Logger for Cold Chain
The Marmonix MT-40 is a single-use USB temperature data logger that rides inside a pharma, food or fresh-produce shipment and, at the destination, turns its record into a PDF and CSV report as soon as it is plugged into a PC — no software to install.
- −30 °C to +70 °C, ±0.5 °C (−20 to +40 °C), 0.1 °C resolution
- Up to 33,792 readings; 5-min interval / 90-day run by default (1 min–24 h, 7–360 days)
- Default 2–8 °C alarm limits with green / red / blue LED status
- IP67, 62 × 20 × 5.7 mm, 8 g — fits inside any carton
The Marmonix MT-40 is a single-use USB temperature data logger for cold-chain monitoring of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, food, seafood, fresh produce, laboratory samples and other temperature-sensitive shipments. Start it at dispatch, pack it with the goods, and at the destination plug it into any PC USB port: it generates a PDF report and a CSV file automatically, with no software or driver to install.
Logistics and QA teams across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the wider GCC use the MT-40 when they need disposable, tamper-free temperature evidence for a defined shipping window. Default recording is a 5-minute interval for 90 days (configurable 1 minute to 24 hours and 7–360 days), with high/low alarms set at 8 °C and 2 °C for refrigerated goods.
MT-40 USB temperature data logger highlights

How to use the MT-40 on a shipment
- Start: press and hold the Start/Stop button for about 3 seconds. The blue LED flashes every 10 seconds while the start delay runs; recording then begins automatically.
- Check status in transit: a short press shows the status — green flashing means recording normally with no alarm, red flashing means an alarm has been recorded. A short press does not affect the recording.
- Place it correctly: put the logger where it best represents the product temperature, and avoid direct contact with ice packs or heat sources.
- Read the report: at the destination, connect the MT-40 to a computer. The blue LED flashes while the PDF/CSV report is generated; do not disconnect until it turns green.
The MT-40 is a single-use device: do not repeatedly start and stop it during a monitoring run. Each pack includes a calibration certificate, barcode sticker and 3M mounting tape.
MT-40 vs other Marmonix data loggers
Choose the MT-40 when you need a slim, low-cost, temperature-only logger and a PDF at the end of the trip is enough. If receivers must see readings on arrival without a PC, the MT-41 temperature datalogger with LCD is the better fit. For humidity as well as temperature, see the single-use MHT-50 or the MHT-51 with LCD, and for reusable logging with Bluetooth, the MHT-60B.
| Model | Measures | Display | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| MT-40 | Temperature | LEDs only | Single-use |
| MT-41 | Temperature | LCD | Single-use |
| MHT-50 | Temperature + humidity | LEDs only | Single-use |
| MHT-51 | Temperature + humidity | LCD | Single-use |
| MHT-60B | Temperature + humidity | LCD | Reusable, USB + Bluetooth |

MT-40 USB data logger FAQ
Does the MT-40 need software to read the data?
No. Plug it into a computer USB port and it generates a PDF report and a CSV file automatically. No software or driver is needed.
What temperature range and accuracy does the MT-40 have?
It records −30 °C to +70 °C with ±0.5 °C accuracy between −20 °C and +40 °C (±1 °C outside that band) and 0.1 °C resolution.
How long can the MT-40 record?
By default it logs every 5 minutes for 90 days. The interval can be set from 1 minute to 24 hours and the duration from 7 to 360 days, up to 33,792 readings.
What are the default alarm limits?
The default alarm limits are below 2 °C and above 8 °C, which suit refrigerated pharma and food shipments. They can be customised; the red LED flashes when an alarm has been recorded.
Can the MT-40 be reused?
No. The MT-40 is a single-use logger. For reusable temperature and humidity logging, choose the MHT-60B.
Do you supply the MT-40 in the UAE and GCC?
Yes. Contact Marmonix for a quote and delivery to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the wider GCC, and for help choosing between the MT-40, MT-41 and MHT-series loggers.
