Marmonix MBT-300 Portable Density Meter – Density, SG & Concentration

The Marmonix MBT-300 is a portable density meter (digital densitometer) that measures density, specific gravity and concentration right at the drum, tank or production line. Pull about 2 mL of sample with the built-in pump and read the result in seconds, with 0.001 g/cm³ accuracy, instead of sending samples to a lab or reading glass hydrometers.

How to measure density with the MBT-300

1. Select the measuring unit or method (e.g. specific gravity, API, H₂SO₄ or a custom unit).
2. Dip the filling tube into the sample and press the pump gently to fill the 2 mL measuring cell without bubbles.
3. Read density, concentration and temperature on the display once the value is stable.
4. Store the result with its sample ID (RFID tag or manual), then flush the cell with water or a suitable solvent.

MBT-300 or MBH-100 hydrometer?

Choose the MBT-300 when you need lab-grade digital accuracy, many liquids and concentration tables, and traceable data. For quick, low-cost electrolyte checks on lead-acid batteries only, the MBH-100 battery hydrometer is enough. For fuel and solvent sampling in hazardous areas, choose the MBT-300 Ex.
